Jup, ook ik doe dit jaar een poging, en tot dusver gaat het best wel goed eigenlijk. Het posten van 1 foto per dag op flickr gaat me vele malen beter af dan een scrap per week maken. Zo geniet ik er veel meer van!

Net als vriendin Madelon wil ik ook graag mijn foto’s hier delen. De bijschriften zijn wel in het Engels (vanwege de internationale 365+1 for 2012 groep waar ik aan deelneem op flickr) maar daar zullen de meeste zich wel mee redden denk ik.

(366.1} My friend Madelon (waymadi) talked me in to this, and since I’ve kept a sort of hibernation the last months this will hopefully be my awakening.

So, let’s start the year with a shot of my most favourite animal in the world, my own kitty. Ameerah is her name, which is Arabic for princess.

Her royal highness is definently a real princess. She’s almost 7 months old now, and since day one she loves to sleep on her throne, getting hugs and kisses all day, and being lifted and carried around like a real princess. This cute little lady requires a lot of your attention, she’s really a handfull one might say.

She will probably be one of my favourite things to photograph through the year *wink*

{366.2} Light for 2012. I bought these lanterns (I have 2 ) quite recently and I love the pretty shadows they give.

{366.3} I make a lot of jewelry myself, it’s one of my favourite hobbies. This piece is a so called “beaded bead” on a necklace. It’s made with lots of little baby pearls and seedbeads. Underneath the bead I’ve added a bunch of fresh water pearls, some flowers and a tiny little bottle with a few pearls and a dried flower.

{366.4} Sneak peak! Ameerah usually looks straight into the camera, but today I’ve managed to sneak around and take a photo from a different angle.

{366.5} Today, a storm raged over the Netherlands. The wind blows with great force (100 km/h or more on the coast) and it’s raining most of the day. In our garden the table was blown away and chairs were everywhere. This picture was my window view today.

{366.6} Maybe not the best shot, because I used my mobile phone.

Today I finally met my cousin, who I had not seen for five years. We first had breakfast at “Bagels & Beans” in the centre of Enschede. After that, we went over to her place. When we opened the door we found a veryyyyy happy but also very much submissive (I didn’t do it!!) dog. Guess what we found when we entered the living room… Yes, this mess was what he made. Totally ripped my -pregnant- cousin her address book (yes, the one with all the addresses for the cards when the baby is born…)

But when you look at this tiny cute little dog… How can you be mad?

{366.7} Finished work! I finished this butterfly bracelet and matching ring quite a while ago, but today I had time to photograph this piece of bead embroidery. The bracelet is made with cabochons of real butterfly wings. Furthermore I used vintage Swarovski cabochons, tiny freshwater pearls, Swarovski crystals, seedbeads and more special beads. I’m very happy with the result.

{366.8} Doing what I love most.

Stitching beads to create a pretty piece of jewelry. Today I visited my parents. It was fun, calm and relaxed. Embroidery, laughing, talking. Good times…

{366.9} Cold pasta, lattice, smoked salmon, onions and a lovely mustard dill dressing to finish it. It’s a perfect fast evening meal (but great as “snack” as well )

{366.10} Kitteh and her toys. Every morning, I put all her toys together in a basket or near her sleeping pillow, but in like an hour or less it’s everywhere again. She’s definitely a playful little kitty. Especially when I am the one who’s playing with her she goes on and on for hours.

{366.11} The last days I feel like the day should have more than 24 hours. I wake up, do my household chores, try to work on school, play with kitteh, do some beadwork (at least, I try to)find time to eat and then I’m shocked because it’s already around 4 pm or later. Then I cook, hubby comes home, we spend some time together, sometimes I visit family or friends and hello bed. Me time gets lost hehe.. I need more hours!


{366.12} Misbehaving. So, today I decided to work a little on a scarf I’m crocheting. I thought… I just reached for the bag where I stored my wool and in the corner of my eye I saw someone getting ready to attack. In a split second she attacked my wool! Took out a ball and began playing with it like a lunatic. *wink*

I took more shot’s of this event and it was so hard to decide which one to use for today, so I uploaded a few more to my photostream hehe.

Focus is not perfect, but she moved so fast it was damn hard to really get perfect sharpness.


{366.13} This box I bought in Hungary a few summers ago. It’s a magic box. When you try to open it normaly, it’s impossible. You first need to do some moves (remove the wood part before the lock, find the key which is hidden behind a slide) so it’s perfect to hide treasures.

What’s in mine? My most favourite jewelry like my wedding ring (the one with the pearl), ring given to me by my grandparents, my favourite watches…

{366.14} At the beach. Went outside today. Walked along the beach with my youngest sister. Took so many pictures, but this is one I love very much. Love the tones and the bokeh!
